I’m very interested to see what happens there. My first car was an ‘81 with....well.... waaaaaayyyyy more rust than this one.

My mom mentioned this to me last night when we were over for dinner. (I’ve got everyone I know hooked on BaT). There is one repeat bidder and 4 others. I’m going to guess $7,500. I can’t see less than $5k. I can see $10k or more but think it’s unlikely. It is crazy nice.

lol my 2nd car was an ‘81 with a lot of rust too - other than the rust it was a reddish color. I paid $600 for it in ‘91

I paid way more for mine in ‘92. It was a deal my dad worked out with a friend of his, and apparently the $800 I gave him was half the agreed upon price (my parents paid the rest).
It was blue. The conversation on the way over to pick it up went like this:
Dad: “It has some rust.”
Me: “NBD.”
Dad: “I don’t think you understand...it’s kind of got leprosy.”
Me: “...”
When we arrived, I was standing, looking at it from behind. My dad walked up and began poking at the “HONDA” nameplate on the hatch, which had some rust nearby. The nameplate popped off. He handed it to me and walked away.
I’ll say I loved it, but that’s because it was my first car. It was a pile of trash that I finally rid myself of 8 months later for like $400. The floor had holes and the carpet was musty from the water and mildew. The cassette player ate one of my tapes, and I never replaced it. It did run well, though.

I bought mine after my 1st car died - it was a 5 speed, and of course I didn’t know how to drive it yet. The day I went to plate it, my friend said he would bring it up to school - I told him no, but he didn’t listen and blew the clutch. A neighbor of his was kind enough to loan me $400 for the new clutch - my mom would’ve had a cow if I told her the car I just bought for $600 needed $400 worth of work :) I delivered pizza in it, which probably did not help the life of the car. This was when Domino’s still had the 30 minute guarantee (or get $3 off).
I did like it too. Mine also died within a year - I think the fuel pump crapped out and I sold it to a friend for $100. I ended up buying another POS - a rusted out ‘74 Duster - because it had a V8. Little did I know that the 318 was only 150hp, and the Accord was probably faster :)

$3600 Now but I think something that clean and nostalgic should go for $6000 to $7000

That’s where I’d put my guess.
